ash voice test!!
[ Just assuming all of these take place somewhere in the Pokemon world!! Because who doesn't like an opportunity to put their character in the Pokemon world, right? ]
a;
[ So for whatever reason, you're now stuck in a cave. A cave with Zubat and Geodude and all manner of cave Pokemon wandering around it. And ... so is Ash. He's been separated from his friends, probably due to the floor randomly giving out or something, and now he's wandering around the place, too. ]
Sure is dark down here, huh, Pikachu? I could really use a light. [ Crossing his arms. ] But the only thing I could use for that is ... [ Charizard. His one fire type ... and the one Pokemon who would absolutely make this harder than it needs to be. And he groans upon this realization and all his sudden flashbacks of its inability to listen to him. ] It'd be easier to just gain night vision.
[ Not long after this little exchange, he hears the steps of whoever else is in this cave with him. ]
Huh? Misty? Brock? Is that you?
[ Probably not. ]
b;
[ While wandering around a forest, Ash and Pikachu come across a swarm of Beedrill hanging out in some nearby trees. They're not doing anything of note, really, but knowing that they'll attack if they even so much as notice Ash in the area, he tries to take a more stealthy approach to this.
Whispering down to his partner, holding a finger in front of his mouth in a gesture to be quiet. ] We gotta be quiet, Pikachu. Don't let 'em hear you.
[ He receives an understanding nod from his tiny friend, before they begin sneaking through the trees and past the Beedrill. Unfortunately, partway through this, a Pidgey perching in a tree overhead accidentally drops its apple right down onto Pikachu's tail, causing it to cry out. And just as Ash moves down to hold it and try to silence it, he ends up ... shocked by electricity. Good job, team.
Temporarily stunned and somewhat burnt by the electricity, Ash falls awkwardly onto his side. ] Pikachu ...! I told you we had to be ...
[ And right on cue, here come the Beedrill, who've obviously noticed this little incident thanks to the shocks flying everywhere and Ash's shouts from it. Maybe your character is in the area watching all this unfold? Or maybe Ash passes them when he finally gets around to running from them? ]
c;
[ Ghost Pokemon. Ash has dealt with them before, but now it seems he's going to have to deal with them again, because it's absolutely pouring outside, he's somehow ended up separated from his friends, and the only place he can turn to for shelter is this giant, abandoned mansion in the middle of the forest. Sounds safe, right?
He opens the door (which was for some reason unlocked, creeeepy) slowly, peeking his head in before moving the rest of himself in the house. ] Hello? Anybody home?
[ Pikachu trails behind him, looking a bit nervous about the whole ordeal, before shaking the water off its fur as best it can as its trainer shakes out his jacket a bit. ] Doesn't look like anyone's here, Pikachu. Sure is creepy, though ...
[ Being alone in a huge mansion, when its door was unlocked and all of its lights are out, as a thunderstorm bellows in the background ... Yep, not one of his ideal situations. But he can deal ... at least until he hears footsteps from behind one of the doors leading out of the foyer. Causing some shock on his end. ]
Wh-Who's there?! Show yourself! [ And adding in a slightly less loud or confident voice: ] And if you're a ghost you can feel free to stay right where you are.
[ This is going well. ]

To hear another person's voice is a shock, but then again, not really. Trainers did roam these caves.]
Wait here, 'Noa. [The 'zard rumbles, but stays where it is, bringing its tail around to shed more light to the darkness.]
Huh? N-No. I don't know who they are. You're the first person I've seen. Who are you?
no subject
And then they notice that the source of that light is in fact a Charizard. ] Whoa ... a Charizard ... [ And a seemingly much more well-behaved one, at that.
And in response to her question, he points to himself. ] Uh, I'm Ash Ketchum, from Pallet Town. [ Gesturing down at the small electric mouse at his side. ] And this is Pikachu. Who're you?
no subject
Yes, she's also my starter. We've been together for years now, isn't that right girl?
[Hinoa snorts with a deep rumble even as she puffs herself up with pride.] Um, do you have one too?
no subject
[ But at her question, he looks a little embarrassed. ] Yeah, I've got a Charizard. It's nothing like yours, though.
[ He may love all his Pokemon, including his Charizard, but it sure doesn't listen to him like the others do. Or like hers seems to. ]
no subject
[Not like her own can mean anything, and she doesn't want to jump to conclusions, the way Ash puts it doesn't sound that good.]
I'm no expert, but perhaps...
[She shrugs a little.] I could at least listen.
no subject
Scratching his cheek a little. ] It just doesn't listen to me like yours does, that's all.
[ That's putting it lightly. His Charizard doesn't listen to him at all. ]
no subject
Well, I'm not surprised, if you're calling it an it... But then again, I had to have mum and Kyou tell me Hinoa was a she. Your pikachu's a male, for example.
[Because she totally thought her starter was a male. And she only knows that it's a male because her boyfriend's pikachu is a male.]
C!
[There's a scowl on the older teenager's face, one that softens at the sight of a kid and the pikachu. Arceus, did they start /that/ young in Kanto? Still, there's a scowl on his face, his arms a are crossed as he leans against one of the door frames.]
What'dýou have against ghosts?
no subject
O-Oh, uh, nothing! I just thought it might be rude to bother a ghost, that's all! Hahaha ... [ Smooth, Ash. ]
So ... who's asleep in there? Is this your house?
[ If so, he's going to need to apologize for just kind of breaking in and stuff. ]
no subject
[He shrugs, pushing away from the door with ease.] Nah, we found it earlier, and my twin needed to sleep. Plus, I needed to let Deimos hunt properly.
Name's Hilbert, by-the-by.
no subject
[ He's never heard of that Pokemon before. And he'll do his own little self intro, too, then. ] I'm Ash, and this is Pikachu.
[ Pikachu will go ahead and let out a small 'Pikachu' at that. ]
I guess this'll be some kinda trainer hotel tonight then, huh? [ Seeing as it doesn't seem like anyone lives here, if this guy (and his sister) are also travelers and were here even before Ash. ]
no subject
[He means his cofagrigus, probably these least friendliest species ever. The name gets a nod, and Hilbert shrugs.]
Yea, seems like it, and at least its dry.
