WELL Sora has ended up in Leon's world one way or another, though it's unfortunately without his Disney friends. Which is a little confusing, but it's not something he can't handle. He'll just have to search for them, is all. Though while searching for them, he comes across Leon's mansion, and in the process of peering over at it to scan the property for his friends, he notices a small black heartless-like figure slipping in through an open window. ]

A Heartless? Here? [ Nooot good.

Well, searching for his friends can wait — or maybe they're even in that mansion, in which case they'll need his help. Regardless, taking care of this takes priority, and he rushes in through that open window as well, to the sight of the creature he's chasing making its way through the open room.

Wherever Leon is in his home, he'll probably be able to hear Sora shouting. ]

Hey, get back here!

[ Like that's really going to stop the Heartless. ]

[It's late enough that Leon's been able to return home for the evening--it's actually rather peaceful, with a cup of tea on the desk and a report in front of him to write, and Marian somewhere in the manor, bustling around and doing her Marian thing. Leon's pretty satisfied with the day, in a relatively (unusually) good mood.

Especially... well, naturally he misses the Heartless, because that's how these things tend to go, but he doesn't miss the sounds of someone clattering through the window, and immediately, he's moving towards the first floor to see what's going on, Chal in hand.

... There's...someone in his house.

You! What the hell do you think you're doing?!

[Ah.

Hi Sora.]

[ ... Sorry for interrupting your rare good mood, Leon.

Once he hears Leon shouting at him, he quickly turns his head to look at him. And then back to the Heartless, and then back at him. Oh. If he takes too much time to talk to Leon and explain, the Heartless will get away. So, quickly — ]

There's something in here I need to take care of! [ That seems good enough, right? If he says Heartless and this guy doesn't know what one is, it make take more time to explain things, and —

Turning back to look at the Heartless, it's no longer there, and probably seems to have slipped into the next room over. Whoops. ]

[ ... And off he runs towards that room.

Congrats on your new plan for the day, Leon. ]

[He...didn't want this life...

It's ruining his day off!!

Sora slams his way into that room and Leon has no option but to follow, Chal in hand and drawn. Intruders have to be dealt with, clearly!!! Even if they're just punkass kids.

(Leon, you are also a punkass kid.)

He steps into the room, demanding as ever.]

You! Stop where you are and do not move! You are intruding upon my property, and must answer for that to me!

[SO CALM DOWN]

[ Wow, Sora is not a punkass kid. He's just a kid that does a lot of trespassing to save people and this is one of those instances. Okay.

That shouting gets Sora to stop in his tracks, looking back at Leon again as the Heartless continues to slip away. Seeing Leon with a sword drawn really gets through to Sora that this guy isn't screwing around ... nor is he happy. And ... answer to him?? Oh gosh, Sora does not want a fight. Leon please.

He puts his hands up apologetically, before almost comically realizing he's moved when he was told not to and putting them back down. ]

Wait, wait! I'm sorry! I don't want a fight! I promise!

[ It would seem he needs to fix this situation before he can go off after that Heartless, otherwise there's just going to be unnecessary trouble and misunderstandings. ]

[Shut up Sora it's boss battle time!!!!

... Okay maybe not. Not even Leon's going to attack a kid who isn't even armed. He scowls, frowning tightly, and keeps his sword up and pointed at Sora.]

... Explain yourself, and do so quickly. I do not have the time for nonsense right now.

[He's...listening, at least?]

[ It's a good thing the Keyblade is easy to summon if this guy does come at him suddenly, but. Talking. Talking instead of fighting is good. Though he hopes it doesn't take too long, and Leon's last comment gets to him a little, as he sounds slightly frustrated as he comments to himself, somewhat quietly. ]

And I do? [ He doesn't have time for this either, okay!!

But. ] Well, I saw a Heartless come in here, so I came in after it to stop it! If we leave it too long, the people here might be in trouble! You gotta let me go!

[ May as well tell the truth, and all. He's not one to lie much anyway. And if he informs him of the danger, surely he'll let him go after it, right? ]

What the hell are you talking about, Sora.... Leon still looks less than convinced, brow furrowed and sword still up. And, snappishly:]

This is hardly an amusing prank!

[ Oh dear this is not going well at all. ]

Hey, it's not a prank! [ THINK, SORA, THINK. Which is written all over his face for a moment, as he looks down, troubled and trying to figure out a plan, before he looks back up at him, determined. ] If you want, you can follow me! That way, you can watch me so I don't cause any trouble. And when we find that Heartless, you'll see I'm not lying!

[ Is that enough?? He hopes it is. ]

[If this had been any other time, Leon wouldn't have allowed it. He would've kicked Sora out of his house, fiercely and without any regrets.

But.

He's spent the past few months with Stahn, and it's Stahn he thinks of now. This kid... might be just as well-meaning and might sincerely have a reason to be here, and by all rights he should probably figure that out first--

He huffs out an aggravated breath. Ugh. Life was easier before Stahn.]

... Fine. But make it quick, and for your sake, there had better be something there.

[ Life is generally easier for a lot of tsuns before their sunshines enter their lives.

But he's relieved when his plan seems to have worked, smiling in response and nodding. ]

Right! Don't worry, I wouldn't lie about this!

[ And he finally turns around to run off in the direction the Heartless went in, frantically looking through the room. ]

If you see something small and black moving around, give me a shout, okay?

[He's kind of worried, because no matter how much Sora smiles, he doesn't really trust people who break and enter into his home?

But fine, fine... He scowls, but keeps Chal in hand as he goes to look for "something small and black". Ugh.]

That is far from descriptive... this is likely a useless wild goose chase.

I swear I shall--

[Oh.

Wait.

There's...something small and black there. Leon's actually so startled that Sora was right that he freezes for a moment, gaping.]

[ And Sora picks up on his abrupt end to his sentence, mostly because he's wondering what Leon was going to end it with. And he turns toward him. ]

You'll ... what?

[ Leon looks ... off? Weird? After that hardcore swordsman act Sora's been witnessing, it's kind of odd to see him like that. But then he follows Leon's line of sight, and lo and behold there's a small Heartless hanging around. Which prompts Sora to move fast, running in front of Leon, between him and the Heartless, and summoning his Keyblade. ]

It's the Heartless! Stand back!

[ And off he bounds, quickly taking it out like he's done a thousand times before. Thank goodness. ]

[... Yeah Leon's mostly just looking baffled. Why is this even happening... how did this thing get in his home.

Why is this punk perky kid taking care of it now.

Why was he telling the truth?

Which is...what he begrudgingly says after a moment.]

I suppose you were... not lying, then.

[ Of course he wasn't lying, he's Sora. Gosh, Leon.

He straights up, de-summoning his Keyblade and walking back over to Leon, rather casually. The Heartless wasn't anything out of the ordinary for him. ]

I told you I wasn't! [ But it's okay, he won't hold it against you. ] I guess that's the first time you've seen a Heartless then?

[ Which means they may not be a big problem in this world yet, thank goodness. But this means he'll have to work to prevent it from becoming a problem. ]

[Whatever, Sora!! Some people are cynical tsunderes instead of sunshine protags.]

Hmph. It is, yes. It is some sort of monster, then?

[why has he never seen one before....... that's weird.]

[ It certainly fits under the umbrella that monsters would cover. ]

There're probably more of them around here, too. We should check.

[ Where there's one Heartless, more always follow. While he's sure Leon could handle himself given that sword he's got, others likely aren't so lucky. ]

[ S-So friendly indeed ... Sora's a little thrown off by that. ]

[ Yes, he's assuming this is more about the trust than about Leon being a natural jerk. ]

[It's all of the above, and Leon just looks at him incredulously.]

[ He can't help it if there's some sense behind 'breaking into someone's home has consequences'.

But that last part is cool and catches his attention a lot so — ]

[ He's smiling like an idiot. He's met so many kinds of people and he still thinks it's super cool when he meets people like this. ]

But now Sora is going to be unintentionally obnoxious and (very seriously) straighten his back and put his hand to his head in a salute. Yes, he's treating him like a cool knight. ]

[ Does Sora really mean that? To an extent. Because when he does eventually leave the premises, if he sees a couple Heartless go in Leon's house, you bet your ass he's going to follow them anyway. ]
