Though no matter how hard it may be for Riku to do that, Sora fully believes he'll be able to. Not having confidence in his friends is very un-Sora like, after all. And he can recognize when a problem is something he can't solve for someone — he fully recognizes that this process is up to Riku. But Sora can at the very least inch him in the right direction with his words — tell him how he feels.
And Sora is a simple person. The things he faces are vast and complicated, but he can still manage to come back to his own, simple reasoning, driven by his heart. ]
