hi i need to play sora and i need your help to do so

if you play from a canon you know i'm familiar with you can probably just leave a blank post (with a canon point) and i'll throw sora into your world because he can do that

if not (or if you have other ideas or are a castmate) then you can write something up to start!!

or just ask me about what we should do idk play with me

[ this is all i needed in my life tbh.

Upon arriving in this world, Sora's found himself in a bit of a pickle. His friends aren't around, and he's stuck in this room with too many doors, all with different animals associated with them. And after going through random ones a couple of times, all that's come of it is ... ending up in the same room again like nothing happened. This is a little frustrating. And seeing as his friends are missing, it's not like he has all day.

So whenever Stahn arrives, Sora will be looking on at the room, leaning forward a little with his finger on his chin, very clearly thinking hard about whatever is up with this place. And talking to himself. ]

I know there's gotta be some sort of trick to this. But what? Maybe ... [ Alphabetical order ...? Or smallest to largest? Maybe largest to smallest? Going through random ones isn't working so it's time to wrack his brain (admittedly not something he's fantastic at). ]

[the problem here is that stahn showing up, also mysteriously separated from the party (why? rule of convenience, probably) is that he's not the problem solver of the group.

not... well, definitely not when it comes to puzzle-solving. his other friends are definitely a lot more adept at that sort of thing, so when it comes to mysterious door puzzles, it's not like stahn will have the answer right away.

so once he's made it through to that room in an attempt to meet up and find the other swordian masters (and mary and johnny too), he's.

well, a bit puzzled himself to see a total stranger standing there and looking about as puzzled as he will in a minute.]

Is something wrong? [stahn doesn't know his boy, but he looks like he needs help! so...

he'll help!

...or he'll try to, at least.]

[ Maybe if they combine their problem solving skills, they'll equal one intelligent person.

But Sora's a little relieved to see someone else here who might be able to help, and he turns to face him once he hears his voice. ]

Yeah, I think this room is some kinda puzzle, but I can't figure it out. You wouldn't happen to have any ideas, would you?

[ Ideally, Stahn will immediately know what to do, seeing as this is his world and maybe he's used to these things? Is this a common thing in his world, Sora doesn't know. ]

A puzzle?

[well, that should answer sora's question right there—because the fact he's immediately questioning what it is means that he has absolutely not idea.

stahn brings a hand to his chin, looking with befuddlement at the doors.]

A rooster, a dog, a snake....

[he's definitely confused here.] I wonder what kind of puzzle this is supposed to be...

[ Ah, okay, so they're both confused here. That's not good.

Sora crosses his arms, joining Stahn in his thinking. ]

I dunno. When I try going through the doors, I just end up back here. Maybe I haven't tried the right one yet?

[ Or it really does have to do with doing them in some sort of order? He's only tried a few, and all have ended up the same, so ... ]

Maybe that's it? If you didn't go through the right one, it wouldn't work, right?

[but then what about the animals? there has to be a reason they're on the door if it's some kind of puzzle.]

Do you think maybe what's on the door has something to do with the way through? Like...

[wait for it—]

Maybe there's a room with roosters on the other side! [stahn, no. that's definitely not it at all.]

[ Well ...... he hasn't gone through the rooster door yet so it's not like Sora can completely rule that possibility out. ]

That hasn't happened with any of the doors I've tried so far, but ... [ He flicks his finger out like that's some sort of good idea. ] that doesn't mean that can't happen with the other ones! Wanna try it?

[ Sora that was clearly a bad idea what are you doing. ]

[it's a terrible idea, but!]

Mm, mm! There's no way for us to know unless we give it a shot, right? Then we can narrow it down if it doesn't work!

Right!

[ Sure, guys.

Well, Sora's behind the plan 100%, as he gives Stahn a determined nod. ] Then let's go! [ And then he runs off towards the door, only to go through it and ... end up in exactly the same place in exactly the same way as before. That ... sucks. ]

Aw, come on, not again!

they're so determined!! except for the part where it doesn't work at all, and now stahn is equally puzzled.

sora really wasn't kidding, but more importantly:]

How do you think the door does that? It's kind of amazing! Bringing you back into the same room again like that...

[ He wishes he was kidding! But unfortunately, he isn't.

Stahn raises a good point here, though. ]

Huh. I dunno, I hadn't even thought about it. Maybe some kind of magic? [ Sora's too used to various out-of-the-norm things happening. He tends to just go with it. So "vague magic" seems like a good answer. ]

I guess it has to be, right? It's kind of amazing....!

[like, in an impressive way. but they do still kind of have to figure out exactly how this works. but hey.

one of the doors is still open after having passed through it, so—]

Whoa, look! That door... it stayed open!

Huh? [ Sora quickly turns his attention to the door they'd passed through. ] Hey, it did! That's gotta mean something, right?

[ He sounds excited about that!! ] Are we on the right track then?

[ He has no idea how to deduce what the right track here is but ... they have a starting point?? ]

I think so, maybe! It didn't do that at all for you before, right?

[he pauses, and has a thought.]

Maybe we should remember which one we went through first? Maybe we have to go in a certain order or something!

Nope, not before! [ SO THIS IS NEW and good.

And he takes on a thinking pose with his finger to his chin. ]

Okay, so ... [ Pointing to the open door. ] If that was our first door, then ... [ It was a rooster ... A rooster. Meaning, maybe ... ] You think we gotta pick 'em from smallest to biggest? [ Roosters are small right? ]

...It can't hurt to try!

[he has no idea, honestly. but sora's logic seems pretty sound to him, even though dymlos is definitely just sighing heavily and wondering how he ended up stuck in this situation.

stahn takes a minute to look at the doors, before he realizes:]

Then where does the rat go? [rats are definitely smaller than roosters, unless they're...

mutant rats?

that sounds terrible.]

[ ......... That is a good question, Stahn. One which Sora had not realized until it was pointed out. The list had so many animals bigger than a rooster that he just completely skipped over the rat. WELL. ]

Uh, well ... [ ... He has no idea where the rat goes. And Stahn's asking that means he probably can't assume rats are bigger in this world or something. ] Guess it's back to the drawing board.

[ His simple ideas for how to put these animals in order are failing him. ]

[why are they both too dumb for this, that's the real question here.]

Do you think maybe if we try to start with the rat... the same thing would happen? Maybe it would still work!

[it's frustrating not... having any idea how to get through this weird puzzle of a room—but stahn's not going to give up. gotta think positively, gotta just keep trying until they figure it out!]
